Our Aquatic Educational activities and Swimming lessons are held every day at Oakgrove Leisure Centre and on selected dates at Lavanagh Centre, Ballintemple. When our assessment team are satisfied with the completion of your child’s Aquatic Education programme and proficiency in swimming strokes, your child has the option of bodily exercise via lane swimming, both here at Oakgrove and at Douglas Pool or proceed to Lifesaving courses held independently at other swimming pools.

We specialize in both groups swim lessons and private (1:1 or 1:2) lessons . We teach children and adults, you do not have to be a member of Oakgrove to take part. We are Cork’s premier providers of Swimming Lessons, with over 30 years experience at the Lavanagh Centre in Ballintemple and now also at Oakgrove Leisure Centre. During this time, we have developed our own philosophy of small groups with a holistic approach to each swimmer.

Marguerite’s background in registered General and Paediatric nursing provides valuable experience for dealing with young age-group swimmers and their varied needs. Marguerite uses her experience to ensure each swimmer is given attention, due care, and guidance at each lesson. Our lessons cater for all levels of swimmers.

I have enjoyed ten great years as a member of Oakgrove Leisure Centre. The excellent facilities, the cleanliness but above all the family atmosphere have all contributed so much to my pleasure.
